Marisa is a Registered Psychologist with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP). She obtained her Master of Psychology (Clinical) from the National University of Singapore in 2012, and further completed a Professional Programme in Trauma-Informed Interventions from UC Berkeley Extension, USA in 2019. She provides psychological assessment and intervention to children, adults and families who experience behavioural, emotional, learning, as well as social communication challenges.
Prior to private practice, Marisa was a Clinical Psychologist at the Ministry of Social and Family Development, working with children and families within the Child Protection Service. She also worked at the Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN), performing assessments and interventions for children and adults with mild intellectual disability, autism, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Marisa uses a variety of evidence-based therapies in session, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. She believes in working closely with her clients to attain their therapy goals, and proactively engages their support network to achieve the best outcome.
