Kit holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from The Open University, United Kingdom. She has a Diploma in Counselling Practice with Counselling and Care Centre. In addition, Kit is a State Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.

 

Kit provided professional counselling in Secondary schools for 5 years. She then moved to working with children and youth with special needs for the past 19 years. She was with an autism specialised school for 9 years, focusing on educational and job placements, social skills, and behavioural management. She provided job assessments and coaching using structural teaching by TEACCH, which includes job support for clients in their job postings.

 

Kit conducts parents and teachers training, and provides school supports. She also runs a Parent Support Group for parents, whose children are neurodivergent.
